As a young African Australian youth who is affecting the community for good, Iraamin Irakiza has been named the See Africa's Person of the Year 2016. He was presented with a special award by Amb Adeniyi Ekine, editor in chief, See Africa Magazine and the National Coordinator Melbourne International Peace Concert (MELBPEACE).

Iraamin's recent performance to raise funds for charity at the Jams for Justice in Ballarat organised by House of Welcome contributes to the decision for him to be named the person of the year.

I am sad by the big lie made by the police to the media and general public just to protect the wrong actions of the police officers who pepper sprayed and wrongfully arrested me. On the 23rd- September 2016 I was heavily pepper sprayed and wrongly arrested by the police. I am Jafri Katagar the anti-racism campaigner at the Flinders Street.
